PACIFIC NORTHWEST CONFERENCE!
The Pacific Northwest Conference (PNWC) welcomes newly appointed The Right Rev. Clement W. Fugh and Supervisor Alexia Fugh as the new bishop of the 5th Episcopal District of the AME Church. Bishop and Supervisor Fugh were assigned at the 50th Quadrennial Session and General Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Bishop Clement Fugh was elected as the 131st bishop in 2012 and served in the 14th Episcopal District, which includes the countries of Liberia, Central Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Nigeria, Cote D’Ivoire and Togo-Benin. Bishop Fugh also served as general secretary and chief information officer of the AME Church.
Bishop Fugh has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis, a Master of Theology degree from Boston University School of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary.
Supervisor, Mrs. Alexia Butler Fugh, is a licensed registered nurse; she is also a senior clinical research associate in pharmaceutical research industry. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, National Black Nurses Association, Association of Clinical Research Professionals and American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.
Bishop and Supervisor Fugh has been married for over 36 years. They are the proud parents of two children: Marcia Dionne Fugh-Joseph and Joseph Edward Fugh. They have one grandchild, Miss Taylor Joi Joseph.
